Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using balian.ai (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

These Terms govern use of the Site only. They do not govern any advisory engagement, statement of work, or client agreement, which is governed separately by its own signed contract; where the two conflict in relation to an engagement, the signed contract prevails.

2. About Balian AI and the Site

Balian AI is a Singapore-based advisory practice providing AI strategy, governance, risk and change-leadership advisory services to enterprises, as described on the Site. Content on the Site — including our description of services, approach, and the Responsible AI practices table — is provided for general informational purposes.

3. No professional advice; no client relationship

Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, financial, regulatory, technical, or other professional advice, and using the Site does not create an advisory, fiduciary, or client relationship between you and Balian AI. Any such relationship arises only under a separately signed engagement letter or contract.

Descriptions of our approach, practice areas, and regulatory alignment (including references to Singapore’s Model AI Governance Framework for Agentic AI, MAS guidance, Korea’s AI Basic Act, Japan’s AI Guidelines for Business, and ISO/IEC 42001) are provided for orientation only and do not constitute legal advice or a compliance certification for your organisation. You should seek independent professional advice before making decisions based on Site content.

4. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including text, the Responsible AI practices table, diagrams, icons, the Balian AI name and mark, and underlying design and code — is owned by or licensed to Balian AI and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may view and print Site content for your own personal or internal business reference. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or use Site content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Balian AI’s proprietary methodologies, frameworks, or governed AI architecture referenced on the Site; any licence to use them is granted only under a separate written agreement.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Site in a way that violates applicable law;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site or its underlying systems;
• interfere with or disrupt the Site’s operation or security; or
• scrape, harvest, or systematically extract Site content without our written consent.

6. Third-party links

The Site may reference or link to third-party frameworks, standards bodies, or resources (for example, regulatory guidance). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, its accuracy, or the practices of any linked site.

7. Availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Site at any time without notice. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Balian AI, its partners, employees and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (for example, liability for fraud or wilful misconduct), and does not limit any liability we accept under a separately signed client engagement contract.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Balian AI harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Site or breach of these Terms.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This does not remove any mandatory consumer protections you may be entitled to under the law of your own country of residence, where applicable.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
